An Amazing Trip

We got back from one of the better weeks of my life a few weeks ago and I am just getting around to blogging about it - but sent the camera with all the photos of it with Trey to TAIWAN- a whole nother story...
Trey and I left the kids with my sister for a week and went on a cruise to MEXICO! It was the most freeing, relaxing, fun week I have. It was the first holiday we have had where I was not pregnant, recovering and without kids since before we had kids and it is one of those situations where you don't know how good you've got it till it's gone.
Don't get me wrong, I love my children - hopefully that is obvious from my blog, but as my sister who just had a baby just pointed out, having children is like learning how to be handicapped. learning how to do everything with just one hand, not being able to just jump out of the car and go into the store without a whole ordeal, basically being hindered in 90% of your activities in some way. It is also completely consuming - which takes away from some of the romance in marriage if you know what I mean! At the same time, after being away from it, and experiencing the joy of being around the most wonderful and adorable.
Unfortunately, for now the only photos I have are the ones of the day we got HOME and raced to my dear friend and MTC roommate's wedding in SanDiego. (Got there with 7 minutes to spare might I add!)

My Mission Sistas!

Proof that our photographer (and MY MAN!) was there with us - in fact he was the hit of the reception on that dance floor!

Here is a photo with the beautiful bride!
Adrienne looked amazing. So glad we could all be there! I love weddings

Option for a Healthy Birth

I am not typically a big writer on my blog. I usually just post a few dozen photos of my adorable child and make little comments below. As many of you know, I ended up getting a C-section with Brooklyn after planning on a completely natural birth with the help of Hypnosis. That is a whole nother story, and I wont' go into it, but I learned a lot about the what I want and need to have a healthy delivery. After extensive research into the process of birth, I know that it is possible for me to have a beautiful, natural birth and the things that that entails really aren't extreme and are in fact proven to be healthier choices for both me and my baby. (For our book group this month, we are reading "Gentle Birth Choices" by Barbara Harper, which is one of several books I have read on the topic and one that I would highly recommend - as well as the documenary ...
