An Explanation and Announcement!

If you are reading this, you are a true friend, as most people I'm sure have given up on this blog! I have a few excuses, but this explains it best...
We are on a cross-continental tour, on my way to a new home in Chicago, currently in week 8 of it. In May, I left our home in Utah for good with our two kids to go up to Calgary, Canada for my sister's wedding. My husband came with us, but went back and packed up the house while I stayed with the kids and visited Calgary and all my loved ones there for a while. (While we were there my Dad got a blood clott and all my family was sick ):
Trey joined up with us for a bit in Idaho at my sister Brooke's a few weeks later and now I am back up in Canada, in Osoyoos B.C. for a few weeks until I come down to a training course for Hypnobabies on July 15th (My 30th Birthday!) and finally fly "home" to Chicago. All together I think the trip is 2875 miles of driving and a total of 4900 miles travel in 2.5 months with a 1.5 year old and 3.5 year old. My dear pregnant sister and her 1.5 year old is with us throughout this whole journey!
I was actually looking forward to this little gallivant around the continent, but about 3 weeks into the trip I realized I was pregnant - a complete shock! (in fact, I had come to terms with the idea of stopping, and accepting our balanced family of four as perfect!)
I had about 3 weeks to wrap my head around it and then the nausea set in so bad I don't know what hit me! It is worse than any of my other pregnancies and I'm beside myself!
I have tried hypnosis, vitamins, eating regularly, sleeping more and have found little relief! I just can't seem to find energy or health that I need to function properly! I have never felt weaker in my life! Well, other than when I had typhoid in Indonesia!
Honestly eating and drinking is so nauseating, I feel like I would prefer to just be connected to an IV! Now, I hate needles and hospitals more than anyone I know, but that is how sick I am! Any suggestions?
In any case, thanks for reading and following and sorry I didn't' get to tell you in person.
Love to all,
Paige

PAIGE!!! Is Trey so mad or what!? I am so excited to hear this, I knew you could not be done! Congrats congrats congrats! I wish we could talk. Call me when you get back in the states! As for the sickness, I got on some medicine for sickness this time around and it worked like a charm. You need to call a doc asap and tell him how sick you are and they will prescribe you something. It works within 20 minutes of taking it! I was mad I didn't get on it when I was pregnant with Bella and so sick. However I know how you are with medicine, but...it works. Hang in there, love you!

Congrats on being pregnant. I am so sorry that you are so awfully sick. I've never experienced that, so I'm not capable of empathizing, nor giving good advice. I've heard that cinnamon can work well for nausea. Have fun (if possible) with all your traveling.

Paige, congrats!! When I was super vomity with Lydia, my brother-in-law (who was in DO school at the time, but has since graduated--valedictorian!) gave me a treatment. Randomly he stuck his finger in my ear, and I asked what in the world he was doing. He replied that he could feel some fluids were off in my inner ear, which can cause nausea. He did a slight adjustment (which I didn't feel at all) then I stopped throwing up (except once, but that was because we were moving and I overexerted myself)! Maybe you can see a DO or someone who can do cranial-sacral work on you? Good luck!

Paigeee... YAY! Welcome to the world of two toddlers and pregnant! I am so excited for your family. Coming from a person who has never had a stick of nausea or vomiting (SORRY)... I feel so bad for you. I hope and pray that you will be on the mend soon. Thank goodness you have been with family to help take care of your little ones.
I call it right now, you're having a girl! Brooklyn needs a sister! One of these days we have to get our families back together... Won't that be crazy.
Wish we could see you before we move to Germany. We'll have to keep in touch! Love and miss you Paige.

Congratulations!!
I was sooo pukey and couldn't eat anything and tried all kinds of natural and home remedies. Then I talked to my doctor and they prescribed zofran (they just came out with a generic last year, too!) It's AMAZING! It works within 10-30 minutes of taking it. For me, it didn't make complete nausea go away, but it was VERY bearable. Good luck!

Option for a Healthy Birth

I am not typically a big writer on my blog. I usually just post a few dozen photos of my adorable child and make little comments below. Well, I need some sort of outlet for all of my frustrations and thoughts and would love some feedback on them. As many of you know, I ended up getting a C-section with Brooklyn after planning on a completely natural birth with the help of Hypnosis. That is a whole nother story, and I wont' go into it, but I learned a lot about the what I want and need to have a healthy delivery. After extensive research into the process of birth, I know that it is possible for me to have a beautiful, natural birth and the things that that entails really aren't extreme and are in fact proven to be healthier choices for both me and my baby. (For our book group this month, we are reading "Gentle Birth Choices" by Barbara Harper, which is one of several books I have read on the topic and one that I would highly recommend - as well as the documenary ...
