Brooklyn's 6th Birthday

Brooklyn is blossoming into an amazing child.  She has started Kindergarten, adjusted wonderfully to another new home, and thriving in school and socially.
6 is a big year and we can't wait to see what she learns and how she grows this upcoming year.
We started it with a typical Brooklyn Birthday and went all out!
THEME: FAIRIES
Decore:

Brooklyn helped with the cake decorating.  Thanks to the Harris family for the Music Box/Cake Topper!
I loved this touch.  Great idea from - guess where?!  PINTRIST

The Treasure Hunt:
Everything had to Ryme of course.  Unfortunatley a month later, some of the cars with the hints are nowhere to be found.  Maybe I'll find them and update them, but I only have the last few.  We also don't have a ton of picutures of the actual hunt with so many kids running through the neighborhood...
But we started on the trampoline and they got their wings, tutus and bags
Its a tradition that we do a treasure hunt for Brooklyn's birthday, and I love it!
"Oh My, Oh My! Have Pirates been here?
The Character that fairies most terribly fear?
A trail of coins upon the ground, must be leading to treasures to be found!"
"What's this?  A bunch of fairy Dust? (Sparkles)
The Pirates must have taken the jewels!
The fast flying fairies are the ones to call,
We mustn't be taken for fools!
Run to the park to find the fliers
and spin them high in the air.
They'll fly up high and find those guys
and all will be made to be fair!

At the Park
After the treausure hunt, we came back and painted fairy houses - my sister Brooke's idea (She helps me plan all of Brooklyn's Birthdays).

I was amazed at the concentration of these girls!  They loved the idea that they could put them somewhere and the fairies would come at night and visit their houses!
Becca helped write the names of their fairies and or notes to their fairies on cute cards.
Cute right!
The final products!
The Contributors:
So glad Trey was there - he was glad I didn't pull him into any of the planning or execution this time
I was so lucky to have our dear friend and Brooklyn's Favorite Babysitter with us from Utah!
Brooklyns forever best friends - even if she doesn't know it still
And of course the party wouldn't have been possible without these adorable little girls!
We are so glad to have such wonderful friends here in our new home!

Option for a Healthy Birth

I am not typically a big writer on my blog. I usually just post a few dozen photos of my adorable child and make little comments below. Well, I need some sort of outlet for all of my frustrations and thoughts and would love some feedback on them. As many of you know, I ended up getting a C-section with Brooklyn after planning on a completely natural birth with the help of Hypnosis. That is a whole nother story, and I wont' go into it, but I learned a lot about the what I want and need to have a healthy delivery. After extensive research into the process of birth, I know that it is possible for me to have a beautiful, natural birth and the things that that entails really aren't extreme and are in fact proven to be healthier choices for both me and my baby. (For our book group this month, we are reading "Gentle Birth Choices" by Barbara Harper, which is one of several books I have read on the topic and one that I would highly recommend - as well as the documenary ...
